Testify, testimonial, Bible and Justice Kavanaugh’s testicles
There is a lots of noise about justice Kavanaugh’s testicles, repeat testicles and not testimony. Most people who doesn’t know the origin of word testify testimonials are the one making more noise about justice Kavanaugh’s testicles.
Before the court started accepting statements as oath by putting hands on bible, it was men’s testicles that men have to take in hands in the court before giving statement under oath. That’s how word testify and testimony came in use. Later on testicles were replaced by bible. Now whoever this witness or friend telling that he took Justice Kavanaugh’s testicles in hands and gave to another girl or woman as per NYT story didn’t clarify that they were just playing a mock court and mock jury as our schools are doing to explain children about our judicial system or it was some sexual act.
